Use of plastic banned in Energy Ministry

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 31: The use of plastic and plastic-made materials has been banned in the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, effective from today.

The ministry has implemented this decision, bearing in mind putting into practice its commitment to environmental protection, promotion of cleanliness, and sustainable development.

This step has been taken in line with the policy of encouraging the use of alternative and environmentally friendly materials while minimizing the negative impact on the environment caused by the excessive use of plastic products, according to the Minsitry. 

It is believed that this decision will send a positive message to all government agencies and stakeholders. 

Minsitry said that everyone's cooperation is expected for the effective implementation in the coming days.
