Nine year old dies after falling from cliff

By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda, March 24: A nine-year-old girl died after falling off a cliff in Chutragharidanda of Indrasarowar Rural Municipality -3 of Makwanpur district.

The deceased has been identified as Lamina Waiba, a resident of Jaatipokhari in Indrasarowar-3.

According to police, she had gone to the Chutragharidanda forest, located about 500 meters south of her home, on Monday to cut grass but did not return.

Following her disappearance, family members began searching for her. During the search, her body was discovered on Tuesday morning about 300 meters below a cliff.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati said that a police team from Sisneri Police Post was immediately deployed to the scene. 

Further investigation is being carried out by a team from the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi, according to the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
