Prohibitory order lifted in Kapilvastu

By Narad Kohar, Kapilvastu, March 24: The prohibitory order imposed in Vargada, Maharajgunj Municipality-2, Kapilvastu, has been lifted following an improvement in the security situation.

Issuing a notice, District Administration Office, Taulihawa, said that the decision was made as peace and security have gradually returned to normal, and it was necessary to ease the daily lives of residents.

According to the office, the order was lifted effective from 9:00 AM today as per the decision of the District Security Committee.

Earlier, prohibitory orders had been enforced in designated areas of the district starting from 2:00 PM on March 21 and again from 1:00 PM on March 21.

Assistant Chief District Officer Bhavishwor Ghimire said the situation has been brought under control through coordination with concerned stakeholders. He added that the environment is now conducive for people to move freely and carry out their daily activities.

He also urged all sides to exercise restraint and help maintain social harmony, peace, and law and order.
