By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 20: A total of 82,100 Nepalis have registered their details from West Asia through the online registration system of the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Of the total 82,100 registrations, around 6,000 Nepalis have enlisted as being unsafe.

He said that, however, the number has dropped significantly.

The ministry has stated that a total of 170 contacts have been made to the ministry's emergency room, including 78 calls, from various countries in West Asia, amid rising war intensity between Israel-US and Iran.

Spokesperson Chhetri said, "Many of those who came in contact were curious about security in the initial days of the Iran-US-Israel way. However, as the situation is being relaxed, the curiosity has been pivoted to getting a work permit."

The ministry is continuously collecting information about those facing problems through all its 10 missions and is working to make the necessary coordination.

He clarified that there is no record of Nepalis being stuck in transit. 52 those who travelled for Hazz have returned.

The government is watchful about the security of Nepali nationals in the West Asia and will go to great lengths to rescue them if needed.

War has raged in West Asia since Israel and the US conducted a joint military strikes on Iran on February 28, killing many including children in a schools in Minab and Iran's supreme leader Ayotallah Ali Khamenei.
