Child dies after being run over by school bus

By Janarjan Khanrti, Sarlahiu, March 19: A child died after being run over by a school bus in Sano Dabari, Bagmati Municipality-2, Sarlahi, on Thursday morning.

School bus (na 1 Ka 7382) of Sagun Shikshya Aabashiya School of Hariban, runs over two-year-old son Yanash  Gole, son of Shyam Gole, of Sano Dabari.

According to the Police, the boy died on the spot after being hit by a bus that had arrived to pick up the student around 9 am on Thursday.

The boy, Yanash, had reached the place where the bus was parked along with his mother, who had come out to pick up his brother. At that moment, a bus moved forward after picking up the student and ran over him, eyewitnesses said.

Bus and the bus driver are under the custody of the Area Police Office, Hariban.

Preparations are underway to send the body of the deceased baby boy to the Provincial Hospital, Malangawa, according to the Police Inspector Chandra Kanta Adhikari.
