Fire breaks out in cattle shed killing livestock

By Top Lal Aryal, Gulmi, March 19: A cattle shed has been destroyed in a fire that broke out in Dhuwakharka of Chandrakot Rural Municipality-5, Gulmi district, causing the death of livestock and property damage.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru of the District Police Office Gulmi, the fire broke out suddenly in a two-storey mud-built shed belonging to Shrikrishna Sharma, aged 45, resulting in the death of a baby buffalo and a goat.

He said that the fire also destroyed wooden materials and corrugated sheets, causing an estimated loss of around Rs. 200,000.

Police said that further details about the cause of the fire are yet to be ascertained.
