Mahottari, March 8: Ujjwal Kumar Jha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the House of Representatives (HoR) Member election from Mahottari Constituency No. 3 with 32,451 votes.
Chief Election Officer Madhav Prasad Adhikari said that Jha's competitors, Muhammad Rizwan of the Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi Party, received 5,969 votes, and independent candidate Ramadhar Kapar received 4,790 votes.
Similarly, Bajaranga Nepali of the Nepali Congress received 4,342 votes and Minakshi Thakur of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal received 3,946 votes, according to the Chief Election Officer's office, Mahottari.
Forty-one candidates, including those from 15 political parties and 26 independents were in the election race in the district.
Out of 110,436 voters in this constituency, 64,488 votes were cast. Among the votes cast, 59,478 were valid and 5,010 were invalid, the Chief Election Officer stated.(RSS)
