Solukhumbu, March 8: Prakash Singh Karki, the candidate of the Nepali Congress, has been elected to the House of Representatives from Solukhumbu.
According to the final results of the vote counting, Karki has received 13,166 votes while his competitor, Asim Rai of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has received 9,414 votes.
The election office stated that CPN (UML) candidate Kalpana Rai received 8,228 votes, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rishidhan Rai received 3,642 votes, and Labor Culture Party's BS Rai received 3,363 votes.
Out of a total of 85,515 voters, 41,401 votes were cast in the House of Representatives member election in Solukhumbu held on March 5. (RSS)
