RSP candidate Tharu elected from Bardiya-1

Bardiya, March 8: Thakur Singh Tharu of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives (HoR) from Bardiya Constituency No. 1, receiving 49,631 votes.
According to the election officer's office, his closest competitor, UML's Shalikram Adhikari, received 14,643 votes.
Sanjay Kumar Gautam of the Nepali Congress got 12,722 votes and Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary of the Nepali Communist Party received 9,285 votes. (RSS)
