RSP's Gelal elected from Udayapur-1
Katari, March 8: Paras Mani Gelal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Udayapur-1 by securing 30,590 votes.
The Election Officer's office has reported that Gelal was elected with a margin of 18,984 votes over his closest rival, Rajesh Kumar Rai, the candidate of the Shram Sanskriti Party.
Similarly, Baldev Chaudhary of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) received 10,021 votes, Bidur Basnet of the Nepali Congress received 9,675, and Durga Kumar Thapa of the CPN (UML) received 9,206 votes.(RSS)
