Siraha, March 8: Shambhu Kumar Yadav, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Siraha-3. According to Chief Returning Officer Dr Shree Prakash Upreti, he was elected by securing 32,249 votes. His nearest competitor, Leela Nath Shrestha of the CPN (UML), secured 10,156 votes.
Out of a total of 119,250 voters in this electoral area, 76,430 votes were cast. Here, 41 candidates from various political parties and independent candidate were in the electoral competition.(RSS)
