Baitadi, March 8: Harimohan Bhandari of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to House of Representatives member from Baitadi.
According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Bhandari won by securing 22,134 votes. His nearest competitor, Chatur Bahadur Chand of the Nepali Congress, received 18,194 votes.
Likewise, former Minister, Damodar Bhandari, who had previously won three consecutive terms from the CPN (UML), fell to third place this time. He secured 17,091 votes. A total of 73,148 voters cast their votes in the district, with one constituency. (RSS)
