Dhakal of RSP secures victory in Chitwan-1

Chitwan, March 7: Hari Dhakal of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured victory in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections from Chitwan constituency no. 1.     

In the vote counts completed on Saturday evening, Dhakal emerged victorious by getting 58,208 votes. Dhakal's nearest rival Rajendra Prasad Burlakoti of Nepali Congress got 13033 votes, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.     

CPN (UML) candidate Dawa Dorjee Lama obtained 10,899 votes and Nepali Communist Party's Krishna Panta received 4,081 votes.     

Dhakal was reelected from the same constituency.     

Of the total 149,641 votes, 96,154 voters cast their votes in Chitwan-3 in the HoR elections taken place on March 5.(RSS)
