RSP candidates win HoR seats in Kathmandu constituency 2 and 4

Kathmandu, March 7: Candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have won the House of Representatives (HoR) Member election from Kathmandu electoral constituency 2 and 4.

Sunil KC has been elected from Kathmandu Constituency No. 2. The Election Commission has stated that he was elected with 34,238 votes.

KC's closest competitor, Nepali Congress's candidate Kabir Sharma, received 8,874 votes while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Kuntidevi Pokhrel received 5,210 votes. 

In the previous HoR member election, Sovita Gautam from RSP had been elected from this constituency.

Similarly, Pukar Bam has been elected in Kathmandu Constituency No. 4. The Election Commission stated that he was elected having received 29,142 votes. Bam's closest competitor, Nepali Congress's candidate Sachin Timalsena, received 8,824 votes, while the CPN (UML) candidate Rajan Bhattarai received 5,733 votes.

Gagan Kumar Thapa, the president of the Nepali Congress, was elected from this constituency in the previous HoR Member elections. (RSS)
