RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane wins by huge margin in Chitwan-2

By Basanta Parajuli, Narayangadh, March 7: Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has won the House of Representatives election from Chitwan Constituency-2 by a massive margin.
Lamichhane secured 54,402 votes in the election.
His closest rival Meena Kumari Kharel of the Nepali Congress received 14,564 votes, while Ashwin Ghimire of the CPN-UML obtained 6,992 votes.
This marks Lamichhane’s third consecutive victory from the constituency. In the 2022 general election, he had received 49,300 votes, and in the by-election, he secured 54,176 votes.
