By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, March 7: Under the House of Representatives election, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Banke Constituency-1.
Chaudhary defeated his nearest rival Narayan Prasad Gaudel of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 17,491 votes.
According to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer, Chaudhary secured 32,792 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Gaudel received 15,301 votes. Similarly, Surya Prasad Dhakal of the CPN (UML) obtained 11,095 votes.
Following the announcement of the final results, RSP leaders, cadres, and supporters in Banke have expressed great enthusiasm.
Expressing gratitude to the voters, newly elected lawmaker Chaudhary said he would remain committed and active in fulfilling the people’s expectations by working for development, good governance, and prosperity in the constituency.
