Pedestrian dies after being hit by two-wheeler

Nawalpur (Nawalparasi), Feb 15:  A pedestrian died after being hit by a two-wheeler at Sangam Marga in Gaindakot Municipality-8.

The accident occurred last night when a scooter (Pradesh 3-02-014 Pa 1433) knocked down a local resident, Lakhan Tamang, 50, leaving him severely injured. He later breathed his last this morning while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Chitwan.

According to District Police Office, Nawalparasi, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Pundit, following the death of the pedestrian, police have taken the rider, Prabin Thapa Magar, 26, of Gaindakot-8, into custody for further investigation into the accident. (RSS)
