By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb.13: President Ramchandra Paudel has said that building and preserving the spirit of nationalism, patriotism, leadership, self-confidence, and nation-serving among youths is a positive aspect of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
He said so while addressing a program organized for the participants of the NCC and youth exchange program at the Shital Niwas today.
President Paudel said, "This has been helping to congregate the youths from different countries and transform them into loyal, disciplined, responsible, and build effective leadership for the future. It is a matter of happiness that NCC has been building and preserving nationalism, patriotism, leadership, self-confidence, and nation serving among youths."
He said that such youth exchange programs have provided the Nepali Army with a valuable opportunity to strengthen mutual relations with the armed forces of friendly nations, as well as to facilitate the exchange of skills, culture, and traditions among cadets.
He mentioned that Nepali cadets recently participated in youth exchange programs organized in India, Bhutan, Pakistan, and the Maldives, which offered them opportunities for further personal development. He added that such programs help participants better understand each other’s social, economic, and cultural realities.
“This youth exchange program will further strengthen the cordial relations among us and convey the message that the world is truly one community,” President Paudel said.
