By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 12: In the second match of the ICC T20 World Cup, Nepal has opted to bat first against Italy. After winning the toss, Italy chose to field, sending Nepal in to bat.
Nepal is under pressure to secure a win today after suffering a narrow four-run defeat against Test-playing side England in their opening match.
Having come close to victory in that game, Nepal is now competing against Italy in their second group match on Thursday.

The match between Nepal and Italy is currently underway at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Following their impressive display against England, Nepal has drawn attention in world cricket for their high-level performance. Italy is a new T20 opponent for Nepal.
In Group ‘C’, which includes Nepal, England, West Indies, Scotland, and Italy, Italy is considered comparatively weaker.
At present, England, West Indies, and Scotland have each won one match and earned two points each, while Nepal and Italy are yet to secure the first win.
