Two dead, six injured in road mishaps in Chitwan, Dang

Kathmandu, Feb 12: Two people were killed and six others injured in separate road accidents in Chitwan and Dang districts today, police confirmed. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Chitwan Rabindra Khanal shared that  26-year-old motorcyclist Suraj Thapa of Syangja district died and pillion rider Niruta Thapa was critically injured in the road accident that happened at the Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15 after the motorcycle was hit by a truck. Niruta, 22, of Harinas Rural Municipality-4 from Syangja district is receiving treatment in Chitwan Medical College. 

Likewise, 36-year-old Jor Kumar Pun of Gadawa Rural Municipality died and five others were injured after a tipper hit an auto rickshaw at the Kalakate area in Deukhuri, Dang. 

According to the police, the accident took place at 6:15 this morning, killing auto rickshaw driver Jor Kumar Pun of Gadawa Rural Municipality-1 in the district. 

The auto rickshaw was carrying the schoolchildren. The condition of the injured students is learned to be normal, police shared.(RSS)
