Kathmandu hosts 'Cosmetica 2025'

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec.28: Nepal's major trade exhibition for the cosmetics, beauty, and wellness industry, "Cosmetica 2025," commenced on Friday.

Three-day expo began on Friday in Naxal, Kathmandu and will be concluded on 28 December.

The expo was organised by House of Rajkarnikar with support from the Nepal Cosmetics Business Association and the Beautician Professional Association of Nepal.

The expo was organised, aiming to bring together brands, manufacturers, distributors, importers, suppliers, and business professionals from the beauty and wellness sector on a single platform.

The expo will target both B2B and B2C audiences and showcase new products, services, technologies, and trends in the industry.

Exhibitors have included cosmetic brands, skincare and haircare companies, personal care and wellness brands, packaging firms, beauty schools, plastic surgery clinics, hair care and hair implant clinics, dental care clinics, and other related businesses.

Activities throughout the event will feature “Hall of Fame” honours for significant contributors to beauty and wellness, free trials and sample distribution, a special selfie kiosk, brand launches, live makeup and hairstyling demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and opportunities for direct consultations with experts.

In recent years, Nepal’s cosmetics and wellness market has expanded rapidly, with the total market value estimated at approximately Rs 2.36 billion and cosmetic and personal care imports projected to reach Rs 2.04 billion by 2025.

The sector is growing at an annual rate of 20–25 per cent, with primary consumers being urban women aged 16 to 30 years.

 The organisers said that Cosmetica 2025 offers an excellent opportunity for producers and distributors to strengthen their presence in Nepal and engage in knowledge sharing and networking.
