Kathmandu, Nov 30: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has held a discussion with families of the martyrs of the Gen Z movement on Sunday.
The discussion held at PM's Office in Singh Durbar featured the government activities carried out as per the mandate it got after the Gen Z protest, according to PM's secretariat.
A delegation led by Bhoj Bikram Thapa had urged the government that it not only focused on election but also arrested those who suppressed the Gen Z protest and fueled corruption. The government was reminded the urgency of implementing the 14-point memorandum the martyrs' families had submitted earlier. In case the memorandum was not implemented, they would even resort to agitation, the delegation warned.
In response, PM Karki and Minister for Youths and Sports, Bablu Gupta, said the government was serious on the Gen Z protest and its mandate. It would pay heed to the demands put forth by the families of the Gen Z martyrs.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal and others.(RSS)
