Kathmandu, Nov 30: Those injured during the Gen Z protests held on September 8 and 9 in Kathmandu have been categorized.
The District Administration Office Kathmandu has reported that so far, details of a total of 169 injured people have been received and they have been classified.
The Assistant Chief District Officer and Assistant Spokesperson of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, Muktiram Rijal, informed that the classification of the injured was done in two phases.
He said that the injured were categorised into four groups, with 15 in the critically injured list, 51 in the seriously injured list, 36 in the moderately injured list, and 67 in the minor injuries list.
According to him, the classification of the Gen Z injured people was carried out in two phases on November 21 and 28.
Assistant CDO Rijal stated that for those incapacitated, the team had carried out classification by going to the hospital where they were being treated. For those who have difficulty coming to the administration office, they were brought in by ambulance and classified.
The Classification Facilitation Committee, under the coordination of the Chief District Officer, has classified 169 individuals so far based on the Procedure for Classification of Injured Persons during Gen Z Demonstrations, 2025.
The administration office will complete the classification and send a recommendation to the Ministry of Health and Population, and based on that, the ministry will decide and arrange the necessary services and social security according to the list of injured people. (RSS)
