One killed in road accident

Sindhuli, Nov 30: One person has died while another was seriously injured when a passenger bus and a motorcycle collided in Gagan, Dudhauli Municipality-2 along the Madan Bhandari Highway this morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Surya Prakash Sawedi, the motorcycle rider, Mahesh Kumar, 25, of Dudhauli Municipality-3, died when a bus heading towards Katari from Pokhara hit motorcycle head-on. 

Pillion rider, Dipesh Kumar, 25, of Chandanpur, Kamalamai Municipality-14, who was seriously injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at Dudhauli municipal hospital.

The search for Shyam Kumar Bhattarai, the bus driver who fled after the accident, of Katari Municipality-3, Udayapur, is underway, police said.(RSS)
