Eleven out of 12 bridges constructed along Prithvi Highway west sector

Tanahu, Nov 29: Eleven out of the 12 bridges have been constructed along the west (Pokhara–Jamune) section of the 38-kilometre Pokhara–Muglin road. 

According to the Road Project Office, bridges have been constructed over the Myagdekhola, Kumlekhola, Thadekhola, Samdhikhola, Mulkhola, Phedikhola-1, Phedikhola-2, Rudikhola, Haledikhola, Kalikhola and Kotrekhola rivulets of Kaski.

One hundred and five culverts have also been constructed in this section.

So far, the physical progress of the said road section has reached 59.89 percent and the financial progress is 47.80 percent. About 30 kilometres of this stretch of road is double-lane (four lanes) and eight kilometres is single-lane (two lanes) asphalted.

The road expansion on the 43-kilometre eastern section (Jamune–Muglin) has reached the final stage. (RSS)
