Home Minister pledges to ensure province security, promoting federal-province relations

Kathmandu, Nov 28: Minister for Home Affaires Om Prakash Aryal has pledged to further strengthen relations between the federal and province governments.

During a meeting with Madhesh Province Minister for Home, Law and Communications, Bimala Ansari today, Minister Aryal said that the federal government is fully committed to ensuring the security of Madhesh Province.

He also assured that the process of implementing the Police Adjustment Act would be accelerated to facilitate security arrangements in the province.

According to the Home Minister’s Secretariat, Minister Aryal reaffirmed his commitment to conducting the upcoming House of Representatives elections, announced for March 5, 2026, within the deadline.

The two leaders also discussed issues related to overall peace and security, crime prevention, and enhancing coordination between provincial and federal security agencies, it is said. (RSS)
