10 injured in student-carrying jeep mishap

By Shankar KC, Salyan, Nov 28: 10 students have been injured when a jeep carrying students on an educational tour in the Salyan district.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, 10 out of 20 people on board the jeep were injured when a jeep carrying students on an educational trip crashed near Aaganeta in Bangad Kupinde Municipality-8, on Friday afternoon.

Students, parents, and teachers of Bhairabi Basic School, located at Biramkhola in  Bangad Kupinde Municipality -12, were on their way to Kupinde Daha for a field trip when a jeep (Ra 1 Ja 871) lost control and overturned on the road.

The temporary police post Babiyachaur has taken into custody 29-year-old Prakash Gharti, a jeep driver from Kalimati Rural Municipality-3, Salyan, who was absconding after the accident.
