NPL Cricket 2025: Kathmandu posts target of 143 runs for Chitwan

Kathmandu, Nov 28: Kathmandu Gorkhas have set a target of 143 runs for Chitwan Rhinos in the first match of the day under the Nepal Premier League.

Put in to bat after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu were dismissed for 142 runs in 19.4 overs. John Simpson top-scored with 60 runs, while Milind Kumar contributed 38.

For Chitwan, Sohail Tanvir claimed four wickets, with Kamal Singh Airee and Ranjit Kumar taking two wickets each.

Competing in the second edition of the NPL under the captaincy of Kushal Malla, Chitwan currently stand third on the points table with four points from three matches. Kathmandu, led by Karan KC, have won two of their four games.

Likewise, Karnali Yaks and Biratnagar Kings are scheduled to face each other later today. (RSS)
