Assembly of general convention in favour of special convention held

Kathmandu, Nov 26: A special assembly of the representatives of general convention of the Nepali Congress, who are in favour of special general convention, was held here on Wednesday.     

During the assembly organised at the City Hall, Exhibition Road, 54 per cent general convention representatives involved in signature campaign had participated in the assembly, demanding special general convention.     

Addressing the assembly, NC leader Omkar Shrestha said, "There is no alternative to general convention in present condition."     

Similarly, another leader Gururaj Ghimire shared that those, who have been using power since decades, have no rights to say the signatures of party warriors are fake, warning them to find out the fake signatures.     

Fifty-four per cent general convention representatives of the NC had registered an application with the signatures at the party headquarters on October 15 demanding a special general convention.(RSS)
