Janakpur Bolts set target of 131 runs for Kathmandu Gorkhas

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 17: Defending champion Janakpur Bolts has given a target of 131 runs to Kathmandu Gorkhas for the win in the inaugural match of the ongoing second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Forced to bating after losing the toss in the match being currently played at the TU international cricket stadium in Kirtipur, the Janakpur made a total of 130 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs.

In the first edition of the NPL, the Janakpur had defeated the Kathmandu with five wickets. 

Winning the toss, Captain of Kathmandu Gorkhas, Karan KC, decided to bowl first. 

Monty Desai of India is the main coach of Kathmandu Gorkhas. Monty is former main coach of the Nepali National Cricket Team. 

Kathmandu Gorkhas has included Gerhard Erasmus of Scotland, Milind Kumar and Sunny Patel of America, Brain Charlesworth and John Simpson of England, Ricardo Vasconcelos of South Africa in its team.   

Similarly, Bhim Sarki, Shahab Alam, Rashid Khan, Dipesh Kandel, Pratik Shrestha, Mohammad Adil Alam Ansari, Santosh Yadav, Akash Tripathi, Uttam Thapa Magar and Tul Bahadur Thapa are the players of Kathmandu Gurkhas. 

Shiva Narayan Chandrapal of the West Indies is the coach of Janakpur Bolts. Imran Tahir and Wayne Parnell of South Africa, Lahiru Milantha of Sri Lanka, Sanjay Krishnamurthi of USA, Jan Nicol Loftie Eaton of Namibia are foreign players in Janakpur Bolts. 

Likewise, Aasif Sheikh, Anil Kumar Sah, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Kishor Mahato, Rupesh Singh, Tul Bahadur Thapa Magar, Mayan Yadav, Aaditya Mahata, Bikas Aagri and Sachin Bhatta are other players.
