By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 17: Minister for Health and Population Dr Sudha Gautam has met with the people injured during the Gen Z revolt, who are undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital.

The Health Minister talked with the wounded undergoing treatment in the hospital and enquired about their health condition. On the occasion, she urged the hospital officials to do everything possible for the smooth and full treatment of the injured.

She asked the hospital director to resolve any issues that might arise in the treatment process.

Health Minister Dr Gautam said that payment for the wounded will be made upon submission of the bill, even if the medicine required by the patient is brought from outside the hospital pharmacy.

The classification of those injured in the Gen Z movement is being carried out under the coordination of the Chief District Officer( CDO), according to her.

While inspecting the Hospital, she urged people to avail services with confidence, highlighting that hospitals are equipped with modern equipment and skilled doctors.

She said, "I found that the first preference of many patients is a private hospital. However, after being unable to pay the fees, they are sent to the hospitals. It would be easier for both the patient and the hospital if the patient came to the government hospital for treatment right away. Since the government provides quality services at a low cost, one can avail the services with confidence."

She highlighted that access to specialist doctors, improvements in technology, and expansion of services are being made in government hospitals, including Bir Hospital.
