By Shankar KC, Salyan, Oct.27: Five people have sustained injuries when a force vehicle met with an accident near Shivagufa, Chhatreshwari 6, of Salyan district along the Rapti Highway at around Sunday midnight.
According to the District Police Office, Salyan, five out of the 12 passengers on board have been injured when a force vehicle (Lu.Pra.01-001 Kha 0706) en route to Rukum West from Nepalgunj met with an accident.
The injured have been identified as Dilli Bahadur Khatri, aged 40, of Sanibheri Rural Municipality-11, Rukum (West), Bhim Bahadur Dangi, aged 52, of Sanibheri -11 and Bir Bahadur Khadka, aged 48, of Sanibheri-1, his 48-year-old wife Dhansari Khadka and Janak Devkota, a two year old son of Nima KC, hailing from Darma Rural Municipality-2, Salyan.
District Police Office's communications wing said that all of them have been discharged after treatment at a hospital in Srinagar.
Police have taken the driver, 23-year-old Deepak KC, of Sanibheri-8 of Rukum (West) district, into custody and are investigating the accident, after seizing the documents of vehicle.
