By Our Correspondent,Hetauda, Sept. 17: Author Chhabi Anitya’s fourth book, ‘Bal Mahabharat’, has been released recently.
Aimed at introducing the younger generation who are increasingly drawn toward anime characters like Goku and Naruto to the legendary figures of the great Eastern epic Mahabharat, the book seeks to bridge cultural narratives across time.
Specially written for children from grade six and above, the book presents the main stories from all 18 sections of the Mahabharat in a concise, simple, and engaging style.
The illustrations by artist Ravi Mishra further enhance the storytelling, helping young readers connect more closely with the narratives.
The author believes that reading this book during leisure, especially around festivals, will foster children’s interest in mythology and culture.
Published by Kalama Prakashan, Kathmandu, the book is available on the market for Rs. 298.
Previously, Anitya has published Halla (poetry collection, 2014), Tuin Ko Bato (poetry collection, 2021), and Shikshak Ko Bhasha (educational essays, 2022).
