By Nisha Rai,Dharan, Sept. 13: A charred body was discovered inside the Bhat Bhateni Supermarket in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City following a fire incident.

According to Dharan-10 Ward Chairperson Bibek Rai, the blaze was set by an unruly group during the second day of the Gen-Z movement protests at the Bhatbhateni outlet located in Putali Line, Dharan-10. The fire left one person’s body completely reduced to ashes, with only skeletal remains left behind.

The remains, found on the second floor of the supermarket two days after the fire was fully extinguished, included a skull, teeth, and some bones. Authorities said the victim’s identity can only be confirmed through DNA testing.

Police have taken the remains for post-mortem examination and resumed search operations for additional bodies.

Locals have expressed concern that two more bodies may still be inside, as three demonstrators were reportedly stuck in the building during the arson attack.
