Army Chief confers insignia on promoted officers

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 4: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Ashok Raj Sigdel conferred insignia on newly promoted general officers in a special ceremony held at the army headquarters on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Brigadier General Bhola Nath Thapa, who was promoted to the rank of Major General according to the Cabinet decision on August 25, received the insignia at the Army Headquarters amidst a special function, according to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information. 

Similarly, Technical Colonel Bishwabandhu Pahadi was also promoted to the post of Brigadier General. The programme was attended by the Chief of Staff and Chief of General Staff and other general offices and family members of the promoted officers.
