Elisa's ‘Saundaryako Bhagnabasesh’ launched

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 14: Young poet Elisa Dhungana has come up with her poetry collection ‘Saundaryako Bhagnabasesh’ (The Fossil Of Beauty) in Nepali.

Senior poet and lyricist Dinesh Adhikari launched the book in the capital on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Adhikari said Elisa’s poems have the power to move every reader. “Elisa has skillfully brought the truths of life and the world in her poetry,” he remarked.

Poet and media professional Dr. Nawaraj Lamsal noted that Elisa’s poems not only capture human dreams and desires but also convey an awareness of how to move forward amid depression and dissatisfaction.

Similarly, poet Dr. Devi Nepal remarked that Elisa’s poems are simple yet profoundly deep. “In each poem, one can read the hopes and constraints of today’s people,” Dr. Nepal said.

Poet and journalist Mani Lohani shared that Elisa’s dedication to poetry had touched him deeply.

Poet Dhungana said her love for poetry dated back to her childhood. “I still wish to explore new directions in my writing,” she said.

Writer Jitendra Rasik claimed that readers would find freshness in Elisa’s work.

At the event, film director Rajendra Shalabh, poets Geeta Karki, Bimala Tumkhewa, entrepreneur Sushma Mahara, and others recited poems from the collection.

Welcoming the guests, Ajay Kumar Regmi, Managing Director of AEM Group, said that the group, which has been working in the fields of health and communication, has now stepped into publishing and seeks everyone’s support.

Published by AEM Group, the book consists of 38 poems divided into three sections and features a cover design by Ramesh Shrestha and preface penned by senior poet Bairagi Kaila.
