Ambulance driver dies in road mishap in Jajarkot

By Sahadev Basnet, Jajaorkot, Aug.11: The ambulance driver died on the spot when the ambulance met with an accident in Jajarkot at 1 AM on Monday. 

The accident occurred near Kalle stream of Kolchaur of Bheri Municipality-1, Jajarkot, killing 27-year-old ambulance driver Sunil Chanara of Daurikada of Bheri Municipality-1, Jajarkot on the spot. 

Chairperson of the Bheri Municipality-1 Deepak Rana said that an ambulance (Bhe 1 Cha 2247) of Udaya Youth Club, Musikot-13, taking a patient from Khalanga to Daurikada of Bheri Municipality-1, Jajarkot, met with an accident on Sunday night. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Temporary Police Post Holukhola Bir Bahadur Thapa said that the ambulance hit the wall while moving upward on a slope at 1 AM on Monday and veered off some 200 meters down the road. 

Thapa said that the locals came to know about the accident while cutting grass on Monday morning and informed the police. 

He said that the police have collected a report after reaching the accident site, and preparations are underway to send the body to the District Hospital for post-mortem.
