By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 3: A three-day journal article writing workshop organised by
Mangal Multiple Campus, Kirtipur, and the University Grants Commission
concluded on Saturday.
Some 28 college lecturers participated in the training in which professors, both retired and working, made presentation about both practical and theoretical issues related to scientific social research and journal article writing.
In the workshop, Professor of the Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University, Dr Ramesh Adhikari, Chief Editor of Mangal Research Journal, Professor Dr. Laxmi Bahadur Maharjan, Chief Editor of the Journal of Health Promotion, Professor Dr. Shyam Krishna Maharjan, and Assistant Campus Chief of Mangal Campus Rocky Maharjan presented papers on various topics.
In the conclusion of the workshop, the participants were awarded with certificates.
In his presentation, Prof. Dr.
Maharjan highlighted on how AI such as Chatgpt and Deepseek could provide some
guidelines but alerted that use of AI could also kill ingenuity of the
researcher. It is good to see how even AI can do so many things in research,
but it is to be noted that researcher must go beyond the AI, he said.
Chief Editor of Journal of Health Promotion, prof. Dr. Shyam Krishna Maharjan made it clear that research enhances one's personality as it makes one's vision and understanding clear and evidence based.
On the occasion, Pradip Maharjan,
chief of Mangal Multiple Campus, coordinator of the workshop and consulting
editor of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Upesh Maharjan and member of the Mangal
Campus Management Committee Ajay Singh highlighted on the importance of research
for producing scientific knowledge that benefits the society and the academia.
