By Pratik Poudel, Rupandehi, April 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the time has come to spread the peace thoughts of Buddha across the world.
Inaugurating the Fourth Asian Buddhist Cultural Festival in Lumbini on Saturday, PM Oli said that this is the right time to advance the peace thoughts of Buddha across the globe, as the world is suffering from unrest and activities against peace.
The festival was jointly organised by Lumbini Development Trust and Sariputra Foundation. "Most dangerous weapons have been built, and no war finds a way to peace, so peace is today's need. Therefore, now the importance of Buddha's education has increased." PM Oli said.
In the Festival Cultural, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chet Narayan Acharya, among others, were present as the guests.
Representatives from 40 countries are taking part in the Festival.
