Makawanpur, April 1: The Bagmati Provincial Assembly meeting scheduled for today has been postponed for tomorrow. The meeting was scheduled for 1 pm today but had to be postponed after a dispute between the ruling and the opposition parties over the budget remain unresolved,
The meeting was first postponed until 4:00 pm and later until 1:00 pm on Wednesday. The meeting of the Business Advisory Committee with seven parties represented in the Provincial Assembly held today decided to postpone the meeting until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, said Provincial Assembly Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak.
The opposition parties had previously warned of disrupting the meeting, insisting that the government implement the agreements made in the past.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party parliamentary party leader Uddhav Thapa said that the opposition has been insisting on the implementation of the agreements reached in the past between the government and the opposition.(RSS)
