Kavrepalanchowk, March 25:
Namobuddha municipality in the district has conducted a scheme, 'respect for
labour: a national campaign', under the Prime Minister Employment
Programme.
Training on plumbing and masonry
skills were provided to 50 youths- male and female- in the first phase. They
were provided 50-day training.
The programme was run under the
conditional grants provided to the local levels so that youths would be skilled
and get employments. They would also foster self-entrepreneurship, according to
Amrit Khanal, employment coordinator at Namobuddha municipality.
The people aged 18 to 59 and
staying in the municipality were catered the field-based skills. The Ministry
of Labour, Employment and Sociality run the programme.
Earlier, 65 people were provided
temporary job- for 100 days at ward level. (RSS)
