Kathmandu, March 4: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has decided to continue its support to the government.
The three-day meeting of its central committee concluded today with a decision to keep its support to the government.
Although JSP has supported five ordinances, including 'Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to Good Governance Promotion and Public Service Delivery, 2081', 'Economic Procedure and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081', and 'Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081', the JSP has been opposing the 'Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to Land, 2081'.
Similarly, JSP Nepal has also supported the 'Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to Economic and Business Environment Improvement and Investment Promotion, 2081', 'Ordinance to amend some Nepal Acts related to Cooperatives, 2081', 'Ordinance on Promotion of Good Governance, 2081'.
JSP spokesperson Manish Suman said the meeting drew a conclusion that the incumbent government could not deliver to end corruption, maintain good governance, advance development works and put forward constitution amendment. However, the party's support to the government would continue, he shared.
The meeting also extended its support to the 'No Cable Car Campaign' underway in Pathibhara against the construction of a cable car and decided to draw the government's attention to resolve the problem through dialogue, he added.(RSS)
