TRTI, British college sign MOU To promote tourism education

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 27: Tourism Research and Training Institute (TRTI) and the British College (TBC), Kathmandu, Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster tourism education and empower students through various training programmes, workshops, research initiatives and sustainable tourism club activities.

 Madan Kumar Baral, president of TRTI and Country Director of Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP), stated that this partnership would enhance not only tourism education but also contribute to the promotion of Nepal’s rich culture, heritage, and natural beauty. 

Mahendra Kandel, co-founder and executive director of TBC, said that the agreement would foster innovation creating positive impacts in Nepali tourism sector. "This will fill the gap between academia and industry while promoting tourism education among youths in the nation," he added.
