172 kilograms 7 grams of fake honey destroyed in Pyuthan

By Salim Miya, Bijuwar, Feb.25: 172 kilograms 7 grams of fake honey seized by the District Police Office, Pyuthan in Pyuthan has been destroyed.

The police seized a substance that looked like inedible honey on January 27 from the bus (Na 4 Kha 7346)  en route from Butwal to Rolpa and sent it to Nepalgunj for testing.

Acting Officer of the Domestic and Small Industries Office, Pyuthan, Mani Bahadur Gurung said that it was confirmed after the test that the seized honey has not met the standard set by the government.

Police destroyed the inedible honey in the presence of the Domestic and Small Industries Office, Pyuthan, and related agencies by digging a hole.

Police said that the market value of seized fake honey is Rs 103, 620.
