Ila Luxury Hotel comes into operation in Baglung

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 2: Ila Comfort Luxury Hotel has come into operation in Baglung Bazaar with the investment of IME Group.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey inaugurated the operation of Ila Comfort Hotel at a grand ceremony organised in Baglung on Saturday.

The Hotel will provide quality services to tourists and other guests visiting the Gandaki region and tourist destinations in Baglung via the Kaligandaki Corridor and the Mid-Hill Highway, according to a press statement of IME Group.

Minister Pandey said that the investment made by IME Group in the tourism infrastructure sector has had a positive impact on the country's tourism industry. 

He said that the government is determined to promote tourism sector as it is the future of Nepal's economic prosperity.

On the occasion, Minister for Health of the Gandaki Province Krishna Pathak discussed the investment made by IME Group in tourism infrastructure development across the country and called for more investment in Gandaki Province.

“The Chairman of IME Group Chandra Prasad Dhakal is investing in tourism infrastructure development in various places across all seven provinces of the country. It has been heard that there are some obstacles in some places. If so, you should come to our Gandaki Province with your investment schemes. We, the people of Gandaki, welcome you to build more tourism infrastructure,” said Minister Pathak. Chairman of IME Group and President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal expressed confidence that this hotel brought into operation in Baglung will contribute to tourism development of this region.

He said that he has focused on investing in tourism infrastructure, including hotels and cable cars in all seven provinces of the country, reflecting the feelings of millions of Nepalis who are forced to go abroad due to the lack of investment and employment environment within the country.

“Investment in the tourism and hydropower sectors will bring multifaceted benefits to the economy and improvement of the living standards of citizens. We have focused on investing in these sectors,” said Dhakal.

He said that this hotel would provide quality service facilities to tourists and other guests and this will significantly increase the number of Indian and Chinese tourists visiting Nepal via the Kaligandaki Corridor from Sunauli in India and Korala on the northern border. 

The increase in the number of tourists would contribute to the tourism, economic and cultural development of Baglung and the entire Kaligandaki region. The hotel built with an investment of about Rs. 300 million is believed to set a new standard for quality accommodation in Baglung. 

The hotel spread over 4 ropanis of land has 30 attractively designed rooms, including 27 guest rooms, two beautiful suites and a special penthouse.

Each accommodation is designed to offer a new and extraordinary experience beyond traditional hospitality, read the press statement.
