Women preserving Naumati Baja in Dharan (Photos)

By Nisha Rai, Dharan, Jan 23: Women have started to preserve Panche Baja. Recently, a group of women has been seen playing Panche Baja at public events such as marriages, ceremonies and festivals in Dharan.
Lila Dhakal, President of Pragatisheel Naumati Baja Mahila Samuha, said that because of the danger of extinction of Nepali cultures due to modern musical instruments, the women of Dharan formed Samuha about 3 years ago.
