Kathmandu, Jan 3: The major opposition in parliament, CPN (Maoist Centre), has called for summoning a session of the federal parliament.
During a standing committee meeting held in Parisdanda on Friday, the party decided to exert pressure on the concerned sides to convene the session.
The meeting concluded that delays in calling the session pose a serious threat to democracy, according to party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.
The participants of the meeting also exchanged views on contemporary issues. The committee is scheduled to meet again at 2:00 pm on Saturday.(RSS)
