blog

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan.1: The popular folklore band Nepathya is all set to bring a new book in the new year.

Releasing a press statement on Tuesday, Nepalaya informed that the book not only narrates the inner story of the Nepathya band but is also expected to serve as a valuable resource for those interested in studying a particular era and chapter of Nepali music.

The book  ‘Nepathya: Lokpriya Yatrako Antaranga’ will be published in February 2025.

The 352-page book is priced at Rs. 815.

In 2022, Nepathya embarked on a musical tour across the country for over a month. This book takes readers along on that journey with the band, narrating their experiences and encounters at various locations. Through these stories, it also delves into the band’s biography and the tales behind their creations.

This book is being published by Publication Nepalaya.

“This year marks 25 years of collaboration between Nepalaya and Nepathya,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha, team leader at Nepalaya.

Nepalaya began its publishing journey 20 years ago with journalist Narayan Wagle’s novel Palpasa Cafe.

“With the Nepathya’s book, we aim to explore another new avenue for managing the Nepali publishing market,” said Saijan Maskey, CEO of Publication Nepalaya.

This plan, operational through the Nepathya band’s website, www.nepathya.com.np, offers 13 different schemes for booking. Readers can obtain the book for as low as Rs. 25, while others may pay up to Rs. 2,025 for the same book, as mentioned in the press release.

At first glance, it may seem that readers paying less are more fortunate, but the plan is designed to equally benefit those who pay more, as mentioned.

Participants in this plan will receive their copies before the official release date, delivered directly to their homes.

In addition to this innovative scheme, the book will also be available at major bookstores across the country after its release.
