Kathmandu, Dec 10: The Upper House and the Lower House of the Federal Parliament vied for their supremacy in a friendly futsal match organised here today on the occasion of the 18th Establishment Day of the Federal Parliament.
In the match held at the
Bhrikutimandap-based Futsal Ground, the House of Representatives (HoR), the
lower house, defeated the National Assembly (NA) by 13 goals to nil.
HoR member Mohan Acharya was the
top scorer for the team as he alone made five goals in the match followed by
three from Tara Lama, two each from Madhav Sapkota and Suhang Limbu and one by
Manish Jha.
In the first half of the match, the
HoR left the NA behind by nine goals and it added four more goals in the second
half.
The HoR team was headed by Speaker
Devraj Ghimire and the NA squad was led by Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal.
The HoR team included Deputy
Speaker Indira Rana and members Mohan Acharya, Madhav Sapkota, Manish Jha,
Nisha Dangi, Bina Lama, Tara Lama Tamang, and Suhang Nembang.
The NA team incorporated Vice Chair
Bimala Ghimire and members Ghana Shyam Rijal, Bishnu Kumari Sapkota, Padam
Bahadur Pariyar, Bhagawati Neupane, Tulasha Kumari Dahal, Gopi Bahadur Sarki
Achhami and Nara Bahadur Bista among others.
Mangsir 28 in the Nepali calendar
