By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated
the district office building of Manav Sewa Ashram and laid the foundation
stone of Manav Sewa Memorial building today at Aamdanda in Mechinagar Municipality-4
in Jhapa district.
PM Oli and his
spouse, first lady, Radhika Shakya jointly performed the inaugural and
foundation stone laying.
In the ceremony,
local Ram Bahadur Pradhan and his family were felicitated for providing 2.5
bigha of land for the Ashram.
On the occasion,
PM Oli announced that he would provide a month of his salary for the construction
of the building of the Ashram while first lady Shakya pledged to provide two
months' of her pension.
According to the PM secretariat, other guests and people's representatives also announced financial support for the Ashram building after PM Oli made the announcement of the support.
